Given how ubiquitous PowerPoint is in instruction these days, many of you
may find the web site noted below useful. It is by the Center for Teaching
and Learning at the University of Minnesota and it discusses techniques for
using PowerPoint that encourages students to be active in their learning and
how to avoid using PowerPoint in ways that makes students passive.

I recommend watching the videos (even if they are sort of boring talking
heads) and looking through the narrative material and sample PowerPoint
(some of which are very well done).
