Tbers,

If you are not familiar with the notion of "social computing" I encourage
you to review what social software is. See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_software

The College has many social software services like Blogs, Wikis and Web
based Image databases, but many more are available on the Internet. It is
worth your time and effort to learn about some of these. For example, a
PowerPoint sharing site called http://slideshare.net is remarkable in what
it provides and promises to be better and better as time goes by.

Other very interesting social computing sites are:

http://www.youtube.com - a user driven video library
http://www.discogs.com - a user driven music database
http://my.delic.ous - a social book marking site
http://www.librarything.com - social library with user generated catalog
and much much more...

If you would like to explore any of these please contact me.
