Hi Everyone!
Sorry I won't be able to make it tomorrow- Hugh has a radio interview in the morning, so it's up to me to get the 4 kids off to school/Bugbee. The interview is regarding a program the Science Discovery Center is sponsoring Friday evening in Goodrich theater- "An Evening with Galileo." A full announcement is in the College bulletin that came out today. It should be quite a cross-disciplinary event (Galileo being a true Renaissance man and all). We'd love to see some TBers there. This is a reminder that the next Teaching Breakfast  will be Thursday, March
5 at 8 am.  

WE HAVE A NEW VENUE!!  In an attempt to make the Teaching Breakfast group
more visible, the venue for our meetings this semester will move around
campus a bit.  This Thursday we will meet in Fitzelle 110 (classroom side).
If you go in the mall side of Fitzelle on the lower level - down the hall
way to the left, it will be on your right about half way down the hall.

We will be talking about freshman engagement and what types of things we
think we can do, collectively and individually, to better engage our
freshman.   I have some ideas I'd like to get your feedback on as well as
hearing what you think.

As always, all are welcome to attend  and the atmosphere is informal so
please join us for a cup of coffee and interesting discussions that focus on
teaching and learning.
