Harry,
Thanks for sharing this important post on governance by Jason Jones, as
well as the accompanying comments from earlier dates.  Effective
governance is, I believe, critical to the healthy growth of an academic
institution. Effective governance isn't easy, as we all know, but I don't
personally feel I have the right to complain about any problem unless I'm
willing to work with my colleagues on the solution to that problem.
I understand that others may have a different point of view, and I would
find it helpful to hear those alternate opinions or sets of beliefs.
