As many of you know, the SUNY Learning Network is a growing network of SUNY
campuses that use a centrally provided technology infrastructure and
training to deliver courses that are on line. You can find out more about
them at http://sln.suny.edu. Below are the most recent enrollment numbers
for this program. What is interesting to note is the growth rate for this
program has been over 30% per year since inception in 1995.

"Ignorance is curable, stupidity lasts forever"

The Spring 2004 semester set a new SLN record with a total of 28,201
enrollments - our largest semester ever! This is an increase of 28% growth
from our Spring 2003 enrollments of 21,993. Many thanks to all of our
hardworking campuses - both staff and faculty - and to the dedicated folks
from ITEC and the Training Center as well as our own SLN staff.

In addition, annual SLN enrollments for the 2003-2004 Academic Year:
Fall 2003 24,651
Winter 2003-2004 1,382
Spring 2004 28,201
Summer 2004 16,435 (projected courses x app. 17 average
enrollments per course)
ANNUAL TOTAL 70,669
