Is this a first hint of the dark side of learning analytics?
Apparently, this is a response to the N.C.A.A.’s "hint" that
institutions should be tracking public information made available by
student-athletes if there is a “reasonable suspicion of rules violations." Then, this must be OK, since everyone knows that the NCAA cares only about the well-being of the athletes
(pardon me, "student athletes") and would never suggest anything that would abridge their rights.
