Dear Jim,
The themes explored at this year’s annual POD conference made it clear that we share a common goal: to improve teaching and learning in higher education. The POD mission states that learning “requires embracing the new and venturing into the unknown.” We’d
like to help you do just that, with a
CIEE International Faculty Development Seminar (IFDS).
IFDS provide an ideal framework for professional advancement. They give faculty and administrators access to rich academics, diverse intercultural experiences, and innovative approaches to learning and problem-solving. With all of these tools, participants
are prepared to enhance syllabi, internationalize curricula, and increase global understanding on campus.
In 2014, these 10- to 11-day seminars will be held in more than 30 locations around the world. Each includes:
-
Lectures and discussion sessions
-
Site visits and community-based activities
-
Scholarly exchange with leading local institutions and academics
-
A special workshop for participants to plan how they’ll apply this new information back on campus
You’ll find detailed information
online, and if you’d like to speak directly, please call me at 888-628-9225.
Best regards,
Laura Sweet
Director, International Faculty Development Seminars
