Interesting.

But the the traditional model of education presented by the author is a bit of straw man; the contrasts are greatly overdrawn between the dynamic, interactive, egalitarian model favored by the author, and the one-way, passive-learner model presumed to be operating throughout the current system.

If most teachers with the paternalistic robots, and most students the dynamic digital learners portrayed here, I'd fully embrace the author's concerns. But neither is as clearly true as the author contends.

Nevertheless, the issues raised in this provocative article should be fodder for serious thought and soul-searching among us robots. I'm preparing a long, boring lecture on the subject, and expect all of you to sit and listen as I deliver it.

Steve.
