Dear Sven and all
intersting how similar your problems are to mine - lowtech outdoors teaching runs into similar obstacles, especially when hormones govern the looks after slightly underdressed memebers of the college community.
However, i prefer it - and the results in testing confirm it -- to the sleepy looks - and since I know where their eyes are going, I can actually address it.
Example: in stead of ignoring any distraction, I address it, make it part of the class, and get the before dreaming minds focused on the same example. Definitions, thus applied to examples, stick to the minds, and unite the class. I wonder IF this would be possible when teaching via computerized classroom?
your Achim
