Dear Friends,
This article from the NY Times gives an interesting perspective on Robo-graders for writing exams.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/23/education/robo-readers-used-to-grade-test-essays.html?_r=2&partner=rss&emc=rss
The findings imputed from this commentary corroborate the ecstatic prejudice that humans still do have some inherent advantages over machines; moreover, as Socrates once said regarding pedagogues who espouse robo-graders, “The obvious ambiguity of your statement can be readily discerned by any unbiased observer.”
You may read the preceding sentence as an effort by a superannuated pedant to accomodate himself to hypermodern practice.
Cordially,
Harry
